EBAY Appoints Kathleen Mitic to Its Board of Directors

EBAY Appoints Kathleen Mitic has just added a new member to its board of directors: tech executive Kathleen Mitic. With a background in online retail, Mitic brings a wealth of experience to the table. Earlier, she was vice president and general manager of Yahoo Inc. overseeing Yahoo Mail, Small Business, and Personals. She also managed several venture capital projects and served as a business adviser for numerous organizations. Mitic’s appointment brings the board of directors at eBay to twelve members.

Kathleen Mitic joins eBay’s board of directors

eBay has named tech executive Kathleen Mitic to its board of directors. Mitic previously served as vice president and general manager at Yahoo Inc. where she oversaw Yahoo Mail, Personals, and Small Business. She has also worked on numerous venture capital projects and acted as an adviser to many organizations. Mitic’s appointment brings the board’s membership to 12 members, including 10 independent directors.

Kathleen Mitic has a background in technology and business, having previously worked as a vice president and general manager at Yahoo. She helped grow Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Small Business, and Yahoo Personals and is considered an expert in internet commerce. Her extensive experience with PayPal and GSI Commerce should be beneficial to the board, given eBay’s recent pivot towards a consumer-facing model.

She has a background in online retail

As a former fashion designer, Kathleen has over 25 years of leadership experience in online retail. There, she successfully implemented numerous omnichannel initiatives. In addition, she spent nearly two decades at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where she was responsible for overseeing their entire eCommerce business.

She is a tech executive with a background in online retail

eBay has added a new member to its board of directors: Kathleen Mitic. The tech executive, whose background includes consumer products, served as vice president and general manager of Yahoo Small Business before joining EBAY’s board in February. Mitic also served as a director of various fast-growing companies and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She previously served on the board of directors of PayPal, SquirrelWord, and Wellington Management Company.

Whitman has extensive experience in marketing and managing consumer brands. Her previous work on the Teletubbies and Playskool brands showed her expertise in raising eBay’s profile and increasing advertising to hobbyists and groups of collectors. Whitman is expected to help the company grow its online business and maintain its reputation as a leading online marketplace for all types of consumer products.

EBAY has also named Kathleen Gershman

as its Chief People Officer. She previously held the same role at 18 Cities, a company that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help sellers improve their demo success rates. She has also held senior marketing and operations roles at Longview Solutions and Medworxx. In addition to her background in online retail, Ms. Gershman earned a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from the University of Manitoba.

During her tenure as Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, Ms. Huber also served as the company’s Vice President for Customer Service in North America, and Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel. Previously, she worked at Agilent Technologies as a senior executive. She also served as Vice President of Customer Service for North America and Australia.

She was instrumental in guiding eBay toward its vision. After all, she had the experience and the drive to succeed. And now, she’s making it big in the online retail sector. It’s a great time to be a part of eBay.

She will become eBay’s new CEO in 2018
